采用不可撤銷信用證與跟單托收相結合的支付方式，其優點：

　　對進口商來講，可減少開證保證金，用少數的資金可作大于投資幾倍的貿易額，有利于資金的周轉，而且可節約銀行費用。

　　對出口商來講，采用部分使用信用證部分托收，雖然托收部分須承擔一定的風險，但以信用證作保證，這是一種保全的辦法。除此之外，還有保全措施，即全部貨運單據須附在托收匯票項下，開證銀行或付款銀行收到單據與匯票時，由銀行把住關口，須由進口商全部付清貨款后才可把提單交給進口商，以策安全收匯，可防止進口商于信用證項下部分貨款付款后，取走提單。

　　在買賣契約中，開證申請書中及信用證中必須載明，進口商必須付清發票全部金額，才能取得單據。若不付清發票全部金額則裝運單據須由銀行控制，并憑出口商旨意，予以辦理。在信用證上，表示上述功能的文句如下：

　　茲開立本信用證規定50％發票金額憑即期光票支付，余50％即期付款交單。100％發票金額的全套裝運單據隨附于托收項下，于進口商付清發票全部金額后交單。若進口方不付清全部金額，則裝運單由開證銀行(或付款銀行)控制，憑出口商旨意予以辦理。

　　We hereby issue this credit stipulating that 50% of the invoice value is available against clean draft at sight while the remaining 50% of documents be held against payment at sight under this credit. The full set of the shipping documents of 100% invoice value shall accompany the collection item and shall only be released after full payment of the invoice value. If the importer fails to pay full invoice value, the shipping documents shall be held by the issuing Bank (or Paying Bank) at the seller s disposal.
