Mining machinery producer to build assembly plant in Russia
Mining machinery manufacturer Komatsu is to establish a company to manufacture construction equipment and utility equipment, such as compact machines, including forklift trucks, in Yaroslavl, Russia.
This will be the forty-seventh production facility for Komatsu Group’s construction and mining equipment, which has 12 plants in Japan and 35 others globally. The company will also be Komatsu’s second plant in Russia, following Kraneks International, a manufacturing joint venture for metal works, established in 1998. However, the new company will be Komatsu’s first assembly plant in Russia.
